The Brisley Bell
Public House
Details
Set in the village of Brisley on a beautiful common, The Bell has exceptional views of unadulterated Norfolk countryside with its big skies. Ideally situated between coast and city, it is the perfect base from which you can enjoy all that Norfolk has to offer.
The newly renovated 17th century pub retains many of its old charms, while embracing the new, and is embellished with eclectic interiors.
The large beer garden and croquet lawn are the perfect tonic to a busy week and watching cricket on the common, pint in hand as the sun goes down, is an ideal way to spend a lazy summer’s evening.
In the colder months, you can relax by roaring fires after a hearty walk or a long lingering lunch; play games, read a book or settle down with a bottle of wine.
Working with local suppliers, Michelin trained Head Chef Hervé Stouvenel creates sensational seasonal dishes, full of fantastic flavours, combining classic English cuisine with global influences. As a free house, the broad selection of ales, beers, wines and spirits means you’re certain to find old favourites or discover new delights.
If you’re looking for a longer visit, you may like to stay overnight in the barns. Set in almost two acres of grounds, these newly renovated livestock barns have oodles of character much akin to the pub, two out of the six rooms are dog friendly.
