It is also an accessible and flexible space with excellent facilities, which can be booked for events, exhibitions and meetings if required. It features ground floor ramped access, a specialist wall hanging system for exhibitions/displays, exhibition standard display lighting,, audio visual equipment and an induction loop system. It is also home to the Wayland Tourism Information Centre.
The East of England Market Town Awards: The Wayland Partnership won the Environment category for its tourism initiative, centred on the Welcome to Wayland Accommodation and Visitor Guide and including a programme of church tours, special interest weekends and associated marketing material. This is the third year the Wayland Partnership has received an East of England Market Town Award. Local Heritage Initiative Award - Wayland Church Tours: The project involved the local communities in exploring this distinctive heritage, with a view to creating a unique experience of local church tours for local people, visitors and tourists. The project encouraged the local community to create high quality information, including guide booklets, a promotional leaflet and videos, and to undertake training so they could act as guides to their local heritage for visitors.
