If you’re coming to Norfolk then make sure you try local ingredients, whether on a pub or restaurant menu, or whether you’re cooking for yourself in self-catering accommodation.

Cromer crab, mussels, cockles and shellfish are a must. Look out for samphire. Mustard and mint, made famous by Colman’s. A Norfolk cheese board shouldn’t be sniffed at. Fish and chips at the seaside – go on, you’re on holiday.

Norfolk also has the most microbreweries of any county in the country, with the best malting barley anywhere, and we even have the first English whisky distillery in over 100 years.
