To mark the historic occasion of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, celebrations will take place throughout 2022 on the Sandringham Estate, the Country Retreat of Her Majesty The Queen in Norfolk.
A special exhibition inside the Ballroom at Sandringham House will go on display from 9th April – 13th October, with formal commemorative planting in the Gardens from May.
Her Majesty The Queen at Sandringham: An Exemplary Reign and a Unique Country House, is this year’s special exhibition at Sandringham and will showcase The Queen and the Royal Family’s affection for the much-loved country retreat. Highlights of the exhibition include objects and photographs relating to The Queen’s love of animals, horses and the great outdoors, as well as a special audio-visual display focusing on the very first Christmas Day speech broadcast from 1957, recorded by The Queen at Sandringham House.
The Estate will also host several events over the extended June Bank Holiday Weekend beginning on the 2 June with the traditional lighting of the Jubilee Beacon in the Royal Parkland.
Katherine Jenkins OBE will be joined by The Military Wives to perform a very special live outdoor music concert on Friday 3 June and a live screening of the “Platinum Party at the Palace” will be shown on a big screen in the Royal Parkland on Saturday 4 June.
The weekend will culminate with a Pageant on the Estate showcasing a decade of motoring, accompanied by live music and aerial displays.
A range of limited-edition commemorative pieces unique to the Sandringham Estate Shop will be introduced in the coming months, to include a Sandringham Platinum Jubilee Pink Gin, a Platinum Jubilee Pale Ale, Sandringham celebratory own blend Tea and a special preserve made from local Norfolk fruit.

Continuing the long tradition of celebrating Royal Jubilees, Weddings and Coronations – the lighting of the Sandringham beacon will mark the Platinum Jubilee in the Royal Parkland, accompanied by live music from a Piper and the Hunstanton Band.

Katherine Jenkins OBE joined by The Military Wives, Outdoor Live Music Concert – Friday 3 June, from 7.30pm
A night of classical live music as Katherine Jenkins OBE and The Military Wives perform an outdoor concert in the Royal Parkland, rounding the evening off with a special fly over and fireworks.

“Platinum Party at the Palace” on the big screen: A live screening of the Platinum Party at the Palace, some of the world’s biggest entertainment stars honour the most significant and joyous moments from The Queen’s seven-decade reign.

Pageant of Motoring Sunday – 5 June, 10am – 5pm
The pageant will showcase a decade of motoring, live music and aerial displays alongside a variety of culinary delights, antique markets and a vintage fair. Performing directly from the West End, Frankie’s Guys will stage songs by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, dynamic female trio ‘Music Through The Decades’ and popular rock sensations The Houndogs, will all provide retro live music throughout the day.
