Adventures in nature with the National Trust’s Easter egg trails in Norfolk

Bring the whole family together this Easter and treat your loved ones to the magic of an Easter egg trail with the National Trust.

Get ready for a long weekend of fun and discovery as you spot the signs of spring, and experience nature bursting into life at the special places the National Trust looks after.

From creating wild art to waddling like a duckling, the trails have been designed to tickle the senses and immerse little ones in the natural world.

And of course, each National Trust Easter adventure in nature trail ends with a chocolate egg, made here in the UK using cocoa responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

Blickling Estate, Norfolk  
Easter adventure in nature trail 2-19 April
Feed your imagination and go on a wildlife adventure in the gardens at Blickling this Easter. Listen to the bees, reach like a rainbow and discover a woodland floor. Explore the garden with its beautiful displays of daffodils and notice the bluebells coming to life across the estate. Cycle-hire is also open Wednesday – Sunday and there will be a balance bike trail for the little ones. On 6 and 17 April, Moobiloo will be here with an accessible toilet, adult sized changing bench and hoist.

Stay: Nine varied holiday properties to choose from, from the Georgian Itteringham Manor (sleeps 8) to Blickling Tower (sleeps 4).

Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk

The daffodils will be carpeting Felbrigg Hall yellow this April and the lambs will be gambolling in the fields, which means a visit to Felbrigg this Easter will certainly put a spring in your step.

There’s plenty of Easter fun to be had at Horsey Windpump this year. Discover our family-friendly trail with 10 nature-inspired activities for you to do along the way. Build a birds nest, find the colours of spring and spot a red admiral are three of the fun challenges to try.

Oxburgh Hall, Norfolk
Easter adventure in nature trail, 5-18 April
At the start of your Easter adventures in nature trail, pick up your activity pack to find the bespoke trail you’re going to follow. Find and complete the 10 nature-inspired activities that are hiding along the way. Track the bats, listen to the bees and be a hedgehog detective, these are just some of the activities you will be able to enjoy, as you explore the gardens surrounded by daffodils and blossom.

Sheringham Park, Norfolk
Easter adventure in nature trail, 2-19 April 
Wander through Sheringham Park and you’ll discover why it became the personal favourite of its 19th century designer, Humphry Repton. Today, you can spend a day here exploring 1000 acres of varying habitat including woodland, parkland and cliff top. The undulating Easter trail will take you into the wilder areas of Sheringham Park. Birdsong and maybe the call of a soaring buzzard will accompany your search for clues amongst the towering trees on this approximately 1 ½ mile route.
