Pensthorpe Easter

Pensthorpe - a natural choice for an adventure-fuelled Easter day out!

Easter explorers can enjoy seasonal crafts and a brand NEW treasure hunt trail at Pensthorpe Natural Park, near Fakenham, over the Easter Holidays from Thursday 2 to Sunday 19 April 2020.

The new Easter trail encourages adventurers to follow clues all around the reserve in order to solve an anagram made from letters collected along the way. Figure out the anagram and there’ll be a chocolate egg for each intrepid explorer!

Skylarks at Pensthorpe

There will be two bunny-themed craft activities taking place daily, including an Easter bunny face making workshop (free of charge) and build-your-own sock bunnies (carries a small additional charge).

Hands-on experiences which bring visitors closer to nature take place daily such as pond-dipping, warden-led bird feeds and bird-spotting from one of the reserve’s seven hides. Similarly, grab a bag of bird feed and let geese nibble from your fingers, or meet flamingos and red squirrels at one of the daily talks.

And thanks to the reserve’s natural woodlands, streams, wetlands, rivers and gardens, it’s no surprise to see chicks and ducklings waddling before your very eyes!

Wild Rootz Pensthorpe

Children with energy to burn will relish the challenge presented by the park’s two impressive eco-play areas, WildRootz (outdoor) and Hootz House (indoor). Children can push themselves physically whilst boosting confidence and having fun by scaling 30ft towers, swinging from zip-wires, venturing into underground tunnels and flying down twisty, worm-like slides.

For a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the far reaches of the reserve book a place on the Pensthorpe Explorer, which runs four tours daily until 6 September. Hop into the Land Rover and Trailer for an off-road exploration of parts of the estate visitors can’t access on foot (additional charge applies: £4 p/person, or £3.60 p/person for annual members). Capacity is limited so booking is essential.

Entry to the Easter holidays event is included in the normal Pensthorpe Natural Park admission price. For more information about Pensthorpe visit or call 01328 851465.
