Outdoor Event, Sun 25 Nov 2018 - Fri 4 Jan 2019, free entry

Details

REVEAL includes five live shows across King’s Lynn, suitable for ages 7 years and upwards. Each performance will also reveal a new specially commissioned artist projection to accompany it. You can see all of the projections as they unfold with the story.

To play the game, attend each performance and then follow the clues to find the markers and codes as they are released each day. You can also catch up on any performances you miss. Collect all the clues to crack the code and save King’s Lynn!

You’ll need a smartphone and wifi (or a data plan) plus GPS (Location) activated.

REVEAL is the first ever Active Reality project, combining live shows, augmented reality, projections and games. It's the story of a young woman who arrives in King's Lynn and is given a quest by Margaret of Antioch, the patron saint of King's Lynn. Can you help her to complete her adventure?

Performance dates and locations to come:

•Part 4 - Sunday - 16 December - 4pm - Greyfriars Tower, King’s Lynn - projection by Issam Koubraj
•Part 5 - Sunday - 23 December - 4pm - Tuesday Market Place, King’s Lynn - projection by Karen Eng

This is an ambitious, daring new project from Cambridge-based experimental arts organisation, Collusion. The story writer is James McDermott, an upcoming writer from Norfolk, who has been commissioned by the Royal Court Theatre. James has co-written the story with nationally recognised producer Marcus Romer. Creatives include US artists, Matmos, who have worked on two Bjork albums; experimental band Carter Tutti, ex members of Throbbing Gristle; nationally recognised illustrator, Joe Magee (NY Times, Observer, Guardian); RTS winner and composer of several BAFTA winning tv films and programmes, Sandy Nuttgens; and Liwaa Yazji, a playwright from Syria whose work has been produced by the Royal Court.

REVEAL has been developed by the Borough Council of West Norfolk and King’s Lynn working with Collusion. Additionally, the project has been funded by Arts Council England, Norfolk County Council, Discover King’s Lynn and The Business Board.

The project launched on Sunday 25 November and runs until 4 January 2019.
