Gressenhall welcomes back the annual autumn Apple Day festival

Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is delighted to welcome back Apple Day, their annual autumn celebration, on Sunday 17 October.

This event looks at celebrating this beloved fruit and all things autumn, with a display of heritage apple varieties; traditional skilled crafts and demonstrations, hands-on activities and delicious appley treats.

Visitors will be able to learn all about heritage apple varieties with the East of England Apple and Orchard Project, before indulging in scrumptious appley treats and a tipple of cider. The Golden Star Morris dancers will keep all entertained, whilst The Keel Band will allow visitors to get their groove on.

In between chainsaw carving and meeting some feathery friends, a working sheepdog demonstration and a magical storyteller will also be on show. There will be a campfire to cook tasty treats and a chance to get creative during craft sessions.

Skilled craftsmen will grace the Gressenhall site, along with a display of traction engines and tractors. Visitors will be able to finish their fun-filled day in the Gressenhall marque, browsing a range of local goods, delicious produce, and decorative souvenirs.

Emily Parker, Events Officer, said “Events play a huge part in the Gressenhall experience. After a difficult year for events, we are delighted to welcome back one of our largest events to the Gressenhall calendar. We are excited to be able to welcome such a range of activities, live music and demonstrations.”

Pre-booking of event day tickets is essential.
