Redwings Aylsham Visitor Centre in North Norfolk is an award winning family friendly attraction situated in idyllic countryside just 12 miles from the centre of Norwich. Awarded with a TripAdvisor Certificate or Excellence for 2019 and also awarded as the 2019 Muddy Stilettos Best Norfolk Family Day Out Attraction Redwings Aylsham is home to over 70 horses, ponies, and donkeys. On site, the Redwings team offer regular walking tours as well as demonstrations in horse care. Facilities include a gift shop full of horsey souvenirs as well as a café offering warm drinks and delicious snacks.
Redwings Aylsham is able to cater for group visits and there is also an outdoor children's play area for younger visitors to enjoy.
Visitors can support the work of Redwings by sponsoring one of the centre's friendly horsey or donkey residents, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year's membership to the Redwings Adoption Club costs just £15! Redwings Aylsham is home to some of the charity's most charming Adoption Stars, including stunning Friesian mare Maya, the very handsome Gulliver, cheeky donkey duo Wiggins and Wacko, and Redwings' notorious herd of Shetlands, known collectively as 'The Gangsters'.
Dogs on leads are welcome at all of Redwings' visitor centres.

Lovable donkey duo Wiggins and Wacko, real-life Black Beauty Maya and resident troublemakers, the Gangsters, are just some of the 50 rescued residents ready to make your acquaintance at Redwings Aylsham. *** Please note that due to Covid-19 our café and gift shop may be closed. Public toilets will be open and available and there is a fully accessible WC. *** To help support us during this challenging time you might like to consider sponsoring one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars. Available from just £15 per year, you can adopt for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. Please ask a staff member about this during your visit and they will be happy to assist you. Most paddocks are accessible, although some pathways may be difficult to navigate in adverse weather conditions or due to the one way system currently in place. The wildlife walks are also primarily grass track. There is a fully accessible purpose built visitor reception and stable facility, where ponies can be brought in and groomed.
