Nancy Oldfield Trust offers disabled and disadvantaged people an exciting day out on the Norfolk Broads. You can experience the fun and exhilaration of sailing, pedal boating, canoeing and motor cruising with our welcoming staff and volunteers while seeing nature close at hand.
We are the only facility in East Anglia providing such a wide range of water activities and opportunities for our visitors. All boats are skippered or supervised by trained and experienced instructors. Visitors wishing to have a go at sailing, pedalling, paddling or steering motor cruisers are encouraged to do so under their guidance. We also offer Royal Yachting Association sailing training and we are licensed by Adventure Activities Licensing Authority.
Nancy Oldfield Trust offers disabled and disadvantaged people an exciting day out on the Norfolk Broads. You can experience the fun and exhilaration of sailing, pedal boating or canoeing, or take a leisurely cruise on a motor boat to observe nature close at hand on Barton Broad and the River Ant. If you want more than a single day out, you can stay in our fully accessible, self-catering bungalow which accommodates up to 10 people. This can be booked for a weekend, a few days or a week.
We operate every day - motor cruisers go out all year round and sailing and canoeing between April and October. For day visits we ask for a suggested donation of £15 per half day per person, (carers go free). Residential stays cost £42 per person per night and include a half day activity for each night booked subject to availability.
