Nancy Oldfield Trust offers disabled and disadvantaged people an exciting day out on the Norfolk Broads. You can experience the fun and exhilaration of sailing or canoeing, observe nature close at hand, try your hand at fishing.
We are the only facility in East Anglia providing such a wide range of water activities and opportunities for our visitors. All boats are skippered by trained and experienced instructors, and customers wishing to have a go at sailing or steering motor cruisers are encouraged to do so under their guidance. We also offer courses in sailing under the auspices of the Royal Yachting Association, and we are licensed by Adventure Activities Licensing Authority.
Nancy Oldfield Trust offers disabled and disadvantaged people an exciting day out on the Norfolk Broads. You can experience the fun and exhilaration of sailing or canoeing, observe nature close at hand, try your hand at fishing, or take a leisurely cruise on a motor boat on Barton Broad. If you want more than a single day out, you can stay in our fully accessible, self-catering bungalow which accommodates up to 10 people, and can be booked for a weekend, a few days or a week.
We operate every day - motor cruisers go out all year round, sailing and canoeing between April and October. We ask for a suggested donation of £9 per half day, or £27 per night (which includes boating activities).

"Very friendly, informative staff, willing to listen and compromise on activities when clients wishes or needs change due to personal circumstances. Good effective communications from staff to the service users."
"The instructors had an excellent approach with the group which included some young people with quite complex autism. The way in which they were spoken to was relaxed and not confrontational"
