To be or not to be? That is the question

To be or not to be? That is the question

Details

Shakespeare’s Hamlet addresses life, death and the nature of existence. Prof Charles is interested in these big questions, particularly in relation to microbes and their interaction with us. One of the greatest challenges in medicine today results from the observation that bacteria are becoming increasingly resistant to all classes of treatment, and consequently we are facing the end of the antibiotic era. This talk will show how genomic information can give insights into the factors impacting microbial life and death, and how this information can be ‘translated’ into new therapeutics.

Free, no booking necessary. For more information, email events@uea.ac.uk or call 01603 592130.
