NIGEL SHORT (MUSIC DIRECTOR)
- Bach Partita No. 2 in D
- Faure Requiem

Tenebrae, under their acclaimed Music Director Nigel Short, are currently regarded as one of our finest choruses and with the Aurora Orchestra will give a performance of Faure’s serenely beautiful Requiem. This is one of the most ethereal works ever composed and is a great favourite with audiences the world over. Before the Requiem Nigel Short has conceived an ingenious combination of the unaccompanied Bach Violin Partita with excerpts from the St. Matthew Passion and the St. John Passion. This blend of Bach’s greatest music runs seamlessly into the Faure Requiem.
