Opening details

Trip times: 11.00, 12.00, 14.00, 15.00 and 16.00 from June to September.
April, May and October : weekends, bank holidays, Easter week and local half term only.


Trips last about 50 minutes and costs are: adults £5, children and concessions (over 60s) £4, family ticket (based on 2 adults with 2 children) £15. Tickets are on sale at Whitlingham visitor centre, open daily 10.00-4.00pm (5.00pm for duration of school summer holidays), and can be paid in cash, with debit/credit card or cheque payable to the Broads Authority.

Advance trip bookings may not always be necessary, but are advisable at busier time (particularly on sunny days). Bookings can be made at the enquiry counter in the visitor centre or by calling 01603 617332 or 756094

By Road:
Take the A146 towards Norwich, turn right at the ring road, then turn right at the roundabout towards Trowse. Shortly afterwards turn left down Whitlingham Lane.
All car parking fees are collected on behalf of the Whitlingham Charitable Trust to pay for the maintenance of the country park. For more details please go to
Buses go from Norwich to Trowse, then there is a 25 minute walk along Whitlingham Lane to the park.
