Details
The Brno Philharmonic is one of the Czech Republic’s leading orchestras, founded by Janacek in the 1870s. Their current Music Director is the distinguished American conductor Dennis Russell Davies and we are delighted that this concert will also feature the outstanding recent BBC Young Musician of the Year – pianist Lauren Zhang – performing Beethoven’s epic and majestic, final piano concerto known as ‘the Emperor’. The concert will end with Dvorak’s iconic and melodic 9th Symphony, the most popular of all his symphonies, his ‘New World’, performed in imitable Czech style.
