Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park Open Days at Hainford

For the fourth year running, visitors will be invited to stroll through an intoxicating carpet which makes an ancient five-acre wood, the jewel in the crown of the 18-acre Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park, at Hainford, such a county treasure.
Owners Andrew and Caroline Morton believe the dazzling display created by millions of bluebell blooms will be more sensational than ever, thanks to the careful management practices they have introduced.
“We have been able to introduce a little more light into the wood through sensitive coppicing and we are sure the bluebells will benefit,” said Mr Morton.
Open days at the natural burial park, seven miles north of Norwich, have been hugely popular since they were first introduced in 2016, attracting 700-800 people a year. This year open days will be held on April 27 and 28 and May 4 and 5, 10am-4pm. Entry is free, refreshments are available, dogs on leads are welcome and an electric buggy will take disabled visitors on a spectacular tour. Donations from visitors will be given to the venture’s chosen charity of the year, Norwich & Central Norfolk MIND.
