Somerleyton Hall is an early Victorian stately mansion built in Anglo-Italian style with lavish architectural features, magnificent carved stonework & fine state rooms. Paintings by Landseer, Wright of Derby & Stanfield. Wood carvings by Willcox of Warwick & Grinling Gibbons. The justly renowned 12-acre gardens feature an 1846 yew hedge maze, glasshouses by Paxton, fine statuary, pergola & walled garden. Vulliamy tower clock, specimen trees & borders. Open Tues, Thurs, Sun & Bank Holidays from Apr 13th - Sept 28th (Hall & Gardens). Weds (Gardens Only), from 1000 - 1700. Hall Tours 1130 - 1530.
