Literary Event, Sat 30 Nov 2019, free entry

King’s Lynn Public Library is home to one of the town’s least known, but most astonishing treasures: a library of about 2000 Renaissance books.

These are books which transformed the way we understand the world, each a masterwork of the craft of early bookmakers, and many bearing the tantalizing traces of their first readers. But today they are an almost forgotten part of King’s Lynn’s heritage.

Join us for a unique chance to turn these books’ pages, with the guidance of members of the Unlocking the Archive team from the University of East Anglia. This is a free, drop in event: pop by any time between 10am and 4pm and stay for as little or as long as you like to explore these incredible historic books for yourself!
