Historical Event, Sun 15 Sep 2019, free entry

This yearly event is a fantastic opportunity to explore King’s Lynn’s historic buildings and join in England’s annual celebration of local history and architecture.

This is your chance to have a wonderful FREE day out exploring King’s Lynn’s historic buildings. The King’s Lynn Civic Society working with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, the Red Badge Town Guides, businesses, residents and friends groups have arranged a great programme so you can visit houses, offices, gardens, churches, chapels, towers and tunnels not normally open to the public. Look out for special events, colourful re-enactors, children’s activities, music, dancing, miniature trains, boats, classic cars and exhibitions. Heritage Open Day is England’s most popular grassroots cultural event.

Don't forget to grab a programme from the King's Lynn TIC (at Stories of Lynn, in the Town Hall) or other participating venues in town at the start of your day of exploration.

The King’s Lynn Civic Society works with English Heritage, the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, the King's Lynn Town Guides and Friends groups arrange a jam-packed programme of open buildings every year, some of which not normally open to the public.
