Located along Le Strange Terrace in Hunstanton, the Coal Shed is part of the original railway site, which ran from the seaside resort to the nearby market town of King's Lynn. Following investment by the Council in 2008 and support from Hunstanton Civic Society the once derelict building was beautifully converted into a gallery space to promote access to art in the Hunstanton area.

12 years later, the venue is now the dedicated unmanned local Tourist Information Point, open 10.00am-4.30pm every day. The venue offers a wide variety of tourist literature, from maps to trails, late accommodation availability contact details and venue leaflets.

The King's Lynn TIC now handles all west Norfolk telephone and email tourist enquiries.

Located outside The Coal Shed visitors will find the award-winning show garden Wash of Dreams. Designed by local chartered landscape architect Lara Hall, the garden features a variety of plants native to the coastline including potenilla, hebe, spirea, lavendula and dahlias and signifies the flow of The Wash through the West Norfolk towns of Hunstanton, King's Lynn and Downham Market
