Classical Musical Rocks (CMR) is a charity that brings world class musicians into West Norfolk Schools to inspire and entertain young people.

In February and March 2021, CMR are producing a series of six Sunday afternoon Chamber Music Concerts played to a socially distanced audience at Hunstanton’s Princess Theatre.

Klio and Shelley are delighted to present a playful dialogue between the two instruments, with works by Mozart, Rutter, Beethoven and Villa Lobos, creating a world of rich colours and unique harmonies.

Klio Blonz ~ Flute
Klio began her studies in Greece. Since the beginning of her career Klio has performed extensively both as a soloist and ensemble player in the UK and abroad. She has been broadcast by BBC Radio 3 and has appeared in many Festivals and Concerts. Her special interest in contemporary music has led her to give numerous premieres internationally as well as to record and work with composers such as Evelyn Ficcara, Basil Athanasiadis, Neil Luckett, Chris Gander, Yoko Kubo, Ian Stewart, John Carmichael and Barry Mills.

Klio is passionate about her educational work; she is professor of flute at the Thomas's Day School and the Blackheath High School in London. She also specialises in the early year’s music education and has worked extensively as an early years outreach project leader for Trinity College of Music, providing training for BMus Trinity students and delivering early years music workshops in schools, museums and children's centres. She has led successfully the early year’s department at Blackheath Conservatoire for many years, developing the early years programme and delivering 'in house' as well as outreach teachers' training.

Klio has recently became the Creative Director for Classical Music Rocks, which brings live classical music to primary schools in West Norfolk and financially accessible concerts lead by international musicians to Norfolk's community. She is working along with the Chair in developing and expanding CMR's educational program and regularly tours in the area with her different ensembles.
