The cottage is thought to date back to the early 1800s. Walk through the secret garden gate and you will be taken back 100 years in time with all the cosiness, warmth and comfort of home. There is outdoor seating so you can watch and listen to the black birds whilst having a glass of white wine from the wine cooler! Open plan sitting room and kitchen with exposed oak beams, wooden floors, wool carpets, oak worktops, comfy sofa and arm chair. There is private off-road parking behind the cottage.

Walk 2 minutes into Holt and go back 40 years to enjoy cafe life. Breakfast at Byfords is not to be missed. This is a haven of relaxation as Pubs, shops and Holt Country Park is within easy walking distance. Blakeney National Nature Reserve (birdlife, seal colonies), Cley Marshes & the seaside are about 5 miles.

Holt has independent shops, tea rooms, fishmongers, greengrocers, galleries, bookshops, antique shops and the famous Bakers & Larners Department Store with a separate food hall and wine merchant which celebrated its 250th year in 2020! You can relax, no need for a car, just walk everywhere. Your week will fly by in no time.

Coming from Norwich on the B1149. Arrive at the Holt roundabout and take the second exit. Drive passed the next road on the right, Kerridge Road, which takes you into Budgen's car park but be prepared to immediately take the first right turn between two buildings to drive into the yard. The allocated parking for No. 8 is straight ahead to the right (marked Parking No. 8). You are actually parking under the kitchen window of the cottage. To get to the front door, you will have to go out of the yard on foot, turn right and right again down to the end of the gravel loke and right once more through the pale green gate and arch. No. 8 is in the corner of the courtyard. You have just made a complete circle clockwise from parking to the front door.
