Details

One of our four purpose built ferries which are licensed by M.C.A and hold full safety equipment will depart daily from Morston Quay (weather permitting) and will take you into Blakeney Harbour, (we don't go out to the open sea). We sail very close to the seals and there is ample time to take photographs and the knowledgeable crew are happy to answer any questions. Here there is also a good opportunity to do a spot of birdwatching. The seal colony is made up of common and grey seals and numbers are around 500 so we can GUARANTEE you will always see some, The common seals pup between June and August, and the grey between October and December. Grey seal numbers rocket from November as they arrive to pup, the last few years there have been in excess of 3000 pups born between November and Christmas so with the adults 7000+ Grey seals. They soon grow, however, and by early January the majority move off but luckily some stay all year.
After seeing the seals we will land you on Blakeney Point when possible depending on the tidal conditions. The Point is a breeding ground for migrant birds e.g common, sandwich and arctic terns. You can also visit the Old Lifeboat House, which is an information centre. Booking strongly advised, please phone 01263 740505. Visit website for more details and timetable.
Currently due to covid restrictions and operational problems we are not able to land on the Point, (this may change during the season so please ask when booking) The covid rules are continually changing (check our website for current policies ) We ask to please be patient and please allow bit extra time. Although as the trips are an outdoor activity so very minimal risk to spreading infection we are keen to try to keep some social distance on board therefore we are currently running at reduced capacity to make your trip more comfortable and bit or extra space ( see our website for any more details about the trips)
Don't forget your camera!!
We look forward to seeing you !
