Gardening Event, Sat 26 May 2018

Creake Abbey, situated three miles south of Burnham Market in beautiful North Norfolk, has gathered together a fantastic range of specialist plant nurseries for its highly popular Plant Lovers’ Day. This much-loved horticultural event, now in its eleventh year, will return on Saturday 26th May 2018.

Plantsmen from Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex as well as leading nurseries from as far afield as Kent will be on hand to inspire the region’s gardeners. More than 1,400 visitors from throughout East Anglia and beyond are expected to attend. This year’s event will once again feature excellent value perennials, exotics, bulbs, shrubs, climbers and vegetables. There will also be several specialist tree nurseries attending bringing soft and hard woods as well as unusual fruiting and nut trees.

The Norfolk Olive Tree Company, based in Norwich, will bring Arbequina olive trees from Spain, a self-pollinating variety which is ideally suited to the UK’s shorter summers as it flowers early in the season. They will also bring a selection of Yuccas and Palm trees which are chosen for their hardiness and architectural beauty.
