Raynham Hall

Raynham Hall

“Raynham Hall is on the eve of its 400th anniversary, belonging to the Townshend family since it was built. One of the earliest examples of neo-Palladian architecture in England, with significant William Kent interiors. Less palatial than its neighbours Houghton and Holkham, but unmistakably steeped in a grand history and national importance. The lands have been in the Townshend family since the 12th century, with Raynham Hall being their principal seat for nearly 400 years. The estate has managed to avoid opening its doors to paying guests and tourists enabling the ‘soul’ of the house to remain.”

As you take on the eight-mile course, you will be greeted by some of the finest food and drink Norfolk has to offer. We have gathered together some fantastic local companies who will offer treats for walkers along the route, and if you like what you try you can purchase more to take home. There will be a lunch stop half way as well so make sure you bring your appetites!

A perfect day out for countryside and food lovers alike. Don’t forget dogs are welcome to join you in this scenic walk for a day you won’t forget!
