Details

Following the huge success of the sixties festival in 2017 and following significant customer demand we will re instate the day and plan to both develop it into an annual event and a weekend festival over time for it to become a firm fixture in Cromer’s diverse entertainment calendar.
Cromer Soul Club vintage vinyl DJ’s Piers “Hitman Hawkins” and Trevor Half Nelson will spin the discs and open the event on Friday evening the 29th March in the Pavilion Theatre Bar with a ticketed authentic sixties music event, so it’s time to get planning your knock ‘em dead sixties outfit now. Tickets are now onsale online or at the box office.

For the main event on Saturday 30th March, leave the modern world behind and begin your day with travel to Cromer on an original London Routemaster double decker bus complete with conductor and stops at Holt and Sheringham. Throughout the day, embrace all things sixties on the pier and promenade, already confirmed, live music courtesy of Rock the Lobster, original sixties Pirate Radio Legends sharing stories and their experiences, vintage sixties stalls, dance displays, sixties memorabilia including an original full size Dalek and Cyberman from Doctor Who, the return of the rollback £1 a pint (while stocks last) and lots more exciting projects in the pipeline. The arrival of hundreds of scooters caused quite a stir in 2017 and we are planning their return alongside other classic vehicles from the era which is sure to create a real air of nostalgia. In the theatre on Saturday evening, a version of All or Nothing the mod musical experience written especially for the event by producer Carol Harrison. The show celebrates the unique sound of this iconic era starring the brilliant multi-talented West End cast, an authentic mod-tastic evening of fun and live entertainment.
