Burial mounds

Burial mounds

Each one has its own story to tell, from the burial of one person to many, from simple structures to elaborate timber circles. This workshop, led by David Robertson from Archaeology East Anglia, will explore the different types of burial mounds and excavated evidence, with an afternoon field trip to Norfolk’s largest prehistoric cemetery. Participants will need their own transport to visit Salthouse Heath, where we will be walking about 2 miles.
