Tim Willey sculpture

Tim Willey sculpture

Details

In this workshop, local artist Tim Willey will teach you how to construct hand-scale ceramic sculptures based on first-hand field observations and creative interpretation. After preliminary sketch-book observations, you will practice some essential hand-building techniques using a specially prepared clay. This will be followed by studio work, in which you will construct your own sculptures based on the techniques you have learnt and the visual information you have collected. For a small additional charge, the finished work can be left at the centre for drying and firing, to be collected at a later date. However, if this is not convenient, you will be able to take the work with you, to be air hardened at home.
