Details

It's winter - deep, dark, gloomy winter and the Winter Witch has cast her evil spell over the forest and all that dwells within.

What and where is her source of power?
We feel sure it's within the forest at High Lodge.

Get your family group together to follow a series of clues to discover the Witch's lair, break her spell and let Spring commence.

A tutor from the Academy of Seasonal Wizardry, hired to track down the Witch, will meet your team at High Lodge where you will be provided with your detectives' pack and given a short briefing. You then have exactly 60 minutes to locate the Witch's lair and break her source of power following a series of clues, solving puzzles and working together as a team.

Map reading skills are useful! The route is just over 1.1 miles (1.6km) and can be completed in under the 60mins at a moderate walking pace.

Suitable for all ages but under 14s need to be accompanied by at least one adult. We cannot predict the weather so please check the forecast and come prepared. In the event of a severe weather occurrence such as a thunderstorm, heavy snow, gales the Forest road will be closed and we will refund or rearrange to suit. Thetford Forest is a working forest and the surfaces underfoot may be mixed; surfaced footpaths as well as grass and wild woodlands. Please wear sensible and appropriate footwear and clothing for the exercise. All other equipment will be provided. Also note that there is no mobile phone coverage in most of the Forest.

Forestry Enterprise car parking charges apply. Please see the High Lodge website for up to date details.
