From May 29 onwards - Hemsby beach fireworks

Join the fun at Hemsby beach for a fantastic free aerial firework display on Tuesday nights during the school summer holidays and on Whitsun Sunday. Details

Annual 2-week festival of classical, choral, jazz and folk music plus talks exhibitions and films. Details

July 19 onwards - Great Yarmouth Central Beach fireworks

Every Wednesday evening for six weeks the skies over Great Yarmouth are illuminated with our fantastic summer firework spectacular. Details

July 22, 23 - Holkham Country Fair at Holkham Hall

Enjoy two days of countryside pursuits, rural crafts, displays, performances and great fun for all the family at this hugely popular event. Around the showground there's fishing, gundogs, clay pigeon shooting, a vintage fairground, military displays, dog agility, vintage cars and machinery, archery and more. Details

July 29, 30 - Gorleston-on-Sea Clifftop Festival

Over the two day event, you can expect a huge variety of entertainment, stalls, fun fair, music, sports and much much more! Enjoy the firework finale on the Sunday evening. Details

July 29-Oct 8 - Nelson and Norfolk

This major exhibition gathers some of the most extraordinary and potent objects connected to Admiral Lord Nelson, reflecting his naval victories, his relationships and above all his affection for his native county of Norfolk. Norwich Castle

Aug 6 - Run Norwich

The city centre 10k race that takes in many of Norwich's top landmarks. Details

Aug 11 - Classic Ibiza at Blickling

The summer's coolest classical dance party from GoldieRocks and the Urban Soul Orchestra with music including Massive Attacks' Teardrops, Groove Armada's At The River, William Orbit's Barber's Adagio for Strings and many club anthems. Details

Aug 12 - Great British Proms at Blickling

The National Symphony Orchestra will be performing iconic, rousing music including the National Anthem, The Dambusters March, I Vow to Thee My Country, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and... The Archers theme tune! Details

Aug 27, 28 - Village at War, Glitz and the Blitz at Gressenhall

The annual Village at War event promises to deliver an impressive display of home front history. Stroll around military and civilian vehicles and meet costumed characters from both the British and American forces. Gressenhall

Aug 27-Sept 22 - Great Yarmouth Festival of Bowls

The Festival of Bowls is the biggest outdoor open bowling event in the country, with more than 1800 participants competing for a range of titles over four weeks of play. Details

Sept 9-10 - Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival

Taking place on South Quay, a mix of traditional and modern maritime vessels will be moored for visitors to admire and go aboard. The Festival is a riot of colour and maritime shanty folk music, with a large main stage featuring a variety of performances and two other entertainment areas, all with bars. Details

Sept 15-17 - Great Yarmouth Out There Festival

An action-packed weekend, bursting with circus and street entertainment, Out There has everything from daring acrobatics and daft comedy to dancing, juggling, theatre, circus, storytelling, music and more! It’s mostly free and is a fun and different way to experience Great Yarmouth with your family and friends. Details

Sept 17 - Tour de Norfolk

The cycle sportive is back for its second year. This time the routes are heading from the Norfolk Showground to the beautiful setting of North Norfolk and £2 from every entry goes directly to Big C. Distances include: 20, 40, 70 and 100 miles. Details

A Gressenhall tradition! Come and celebrate the best of autumn with all things appley: pressing, tasting, buying and naming. Gressenhall

Oct 21-Jan 7 1018 - Rembrandt: Lightening the Darkness at Norwich Castle

The exhibition will focus on aspects of Rembrandt's uses of light and shade. Perhaps the most revered artist of the European tradition, Rembrandt was a supreme communicator and this exhibition will highlight the extraordinary collection of 93 etchings by him held by the castle, combined with a select group of related oil paintings and drawings on loan.
