The international festival for the East of England
For 16 days in May, Norfolk & Norwich Festival presents a busy programme of international theatre, circus, dance, music and visual arts from across the globe. From a celebration of all local people in 100% Norfolk, via a performance by one of the world's leading violinists, Nigel Kennedy, through to a thrilling modern but Edwardiana-inspired circus - it's all happening in Norwich and Norfolk.

A show about the population of Norfolk... starring the population of Norfolk
An illuminating and uplifting celebration of our county and our people, 100% Norfolk promises to be one of the highlight shows of the 2012 Festival. With a cast of 100 people from across Norfolk, the aim is to make it as statistically representative as possible of the county's total population of 862,000. For example, with 51%of the county's population being female, we need to find 51 women and girls to take part. Other criteria will include age, location and place of birth.
Interweaving personal stories with revealing insights into what it's like to live in Norfolk in 2012, 100% Norfolk is a must-see for anyone who loves the place they call home.

The visceral thrill of modern circus set amid the evocative Edwardiana of the UK's last surviving circus building: Compagnie XY's performances at the Great Yarmouth Hippodrome promise a memorable experience in a 360-degree alternative universe of acrobatics, dance, music and human pyramids.
