Built before London’s column in Trafalgar Square the recently restored Nelson’s Monument is the county’s memorial to the Norfolk hero. Over 144ft high and almost 190 years old, this Grade 1 listed building is a unique landmark on the east Norfolk coast. Visitors can now climb the monument as part of a 45 minute guided tour – pre-booking essential.
