Re-opened in spring 2006 after a complete refurbishment. The fully accessible museum is housed in a row of Victorian fishermen’s cottages and tells the story of the town, its proud fishing heritage and growth as a popular seaside resort.
Visit the new Geology Gallery and see an amazing collection of fossils – all discovered in Norfolk. Find out about the West Runton elephant, Britain’s oldest and most complete elephant fossil and see some of the actual bones.
Delve into the ‘Old Cromer’ Gallery with its display of historic photographs and huge archive to browse. Pore over Poppyland souvenirs and imagine life in an 1890s
2-bedroomed cottage.
