Norfolk Tourism’s Travel Trade Manual 2010, the 11th edition of the essential guide to group travel in the county, was launched on November 4 at Potters Leisure Resort, the UK’s first five star Holiday Village.
The travel trade manual, which is packed with information on places to visit and stay, meal stops, guided tours and special events, is mailed to 8,000 contacts. Group buyers can also pick up a copy and meet the Norfolk Tourism team at the Excursions exhibition on 16 January 2010 at Alexandra Palace in London.
Request your copy of the Norfolk Travel Trade Manual 2010 - by email PDF or post.
Potters Leisure Resort, with its new Zest Rooms that cater for conferences and events with up to 300 delegates, along with the International Arena which hosts January’s BBC televised World Indoor Bowls Championships and has also welcomed Sky TV's Premier League Snooker Championship and the European Karate Convention, is just one of many exciting ideas for groups.
The travel trade manual provides both essential information for coach operates and organisers and ideas for year round visits to the county. Some of these include Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, home of BBC Springwatch and the Norfolk & Norwich Festival in spring, plus Cromer Carnival and the Sandringham Flower Show in summer. Followed by Great Yarmouth’s Maritime Festival and the EDP Bidwells Norfolk Food Festival in September, as well as Thursford’s famous Christmas Spectacular in November and December, and the fabulous winter Festival of Swans at Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in Welney. |
| Coach Parking in Norfolk | Norfolk is a great place for your excursion with coast and countryside plus a wide variety of attractions to visit. | Northern Norfolk ... simply outstanding | If you are planning or indeed already take coach parties to the North Norfolk coast then North Norfolk - Simply Outstanding which will be held at the Searles Leisure Resort, Hunstanton on the 18th March 2010 is a definite date for your diary. This one-day trade show brings together all that you would need to know if you are planning a day trip or extended tour to the North Norfolk Coast.
This year's event is again organised by the North Norfolk Business Forum (N.N.B.F.) and the Tourism Round Table with the full support of North Norfolk District Council and the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.
The show open from 10am - 6.00pm will feature all that is best in Norfolk and is your chance to talk with other members of the tourism industry and meet the people who make Norfolk tourism work.
After the success of last year's event this year's show will have a section dedicated to the county's top growers and suppliers of local produce. It may surprise you to know how many there are in Norfolk who are all willing to talk to you about supplying your establishment. Many of the producers are also open to the public and will be happy to give you information to help you promote new and interesting day trips to your visitors.
The area's tourist attractions, hotel groups and restaurants will have all the information you require for the forthcoming season. The district's top theatres will be on hand to give you details about forthcoming shows and the latest news on prices for 2010, and the county's museums will be there to give you information on all that is new in the way of exhibits and special events.
We are also pleased to announce that the seven Local Area Partnerships of north Norfolk will again be exhibiting bringing you information about the many towns and villages in their areas, each with its own fascinating history and places to visit.
There will be onsite catering offering a choice of pre-booked lunches a menu for which will be sent along with a pre-show registration form upon request. For those not choosing to pre-order lunch, tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available from 11am till 3.30pm.
