FAQ’s
It's all go as usual on the marketing front at Norfolk Tourism.

Be on the look out for the next Travel Trade Manual for 2009 - due to be released early November. Also see below for news on Visit Norfolk developments, exhibitions and the Larking Gowen Tourism in Norfolk survey.
Sponsors Norfolk Travel Trade Manual Quick Search
Bigger and better than ever, the 2009 Travel Trade Manual due out in November is the only countywide publication dedicated to group travel.

Information in the Manual is also reflected in the trade section of www.visitnorfolk.co.uk.

The publication will be mailed nationwide out to our list of 6,500 group and trade contacts and used to promote Norfolk at the trade fairs we attend over the next year.

Research commissioned by Norfolk Tourism in 2008 showed that the trade and group market value the Norfolk Travel Trade Manual highly and rate it as an excellent source of information about the county.

The research also revealed 95% of group travel organisers would consider organising a trip back to Norfolk in the next two years!
Exhibitions – Raising Norfolk’s Profile
The latest market research on Exhibitions shows you have to be in it to win it, and that the Norfolk Tourism exhibition programme fills a valuable role in promoting the County and its tourism product.

We now want to encourage further partner participation at events to ensure continued gain from additional exposure. By sharing stand space with us we offer partners and individual businesses the chance to offset costs and make it much more economical to have a presence at the shows and make those all important contacts. For example, a presence at the British Travel Trade Fair in March 2008 showcased Norfolk to 3500 trade visitors. As a result, over 70 direct contacts were made and www.visitnorfolk.co.uk received over 30% more hits on its group travel page alone.

For a list of exhibitions that Norfolk Tourism will be attending in 2009 and for details on how you can join us, please contact Lydia Smith at lsmith@visit.norfolk.gov.uk / 01603 222727.
www.visitnorfolk.co.uk developments
New pages and top Google rankings pushed visitor numbers higher than ever on Norfolk’s most popular county-wide website.

If you haven’t seen the new pages (including accommodation graded under the National Accessible Scheme, market towns, the Broads, Norwich, Kingdom, The Fens, the Brecks & Thetford, Norfolk Coast and Norfolk Seaside and a page for Japanese customers) do have a good old browse of the site.

Advertising listings and banners are available on all sections to give your business a boost. Phone Janet on 01603 638164 to find out more.
Tourism in Norfolk Survey 2008
Thank you to everyone who completed the 2007 Business Survey. We had an excellent response and the information collated gave a valuable insight into the industry and a good snapshot view of its health. This information is invaluable and will help to shape our future marketing and promotional activities.

Larking Gowen, Norfolk Tourism, VisitNorwich Limited and Norfolk Tourist Attractions Association Ltd are again working together and would like to invite you to participate in the 2008 tourism business survey for Norfolk.
To complete the survey please visit www.larking-gowen.co.uk and click on the link on the home page. The survey will only take a few minutes to complete, and the deadline for completion is 31 October 2008.

Tourism in Norfolk is already big business – worth in excess of £2 billion across the county each year. With your help, we want to grow revenue and help support sustainable high quality businesses that are well placed to promote and deliver best value to our customers.

This year’s survey is supported by BeWILDerwood who have kindly donated a first prize of a VIP trip to the adventure park. All completed surveys will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 50 admission tickets to BeWILDerwood.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
