Places to visit
The Norfolk landscape is honeycombed with rivers, Broads and fens and there are lots of places to visit where you can enjoy the water.
The beautiful Broadland towns and villages are perfect places for a relaxed day out and there are fun-packed attractions for the whole family dotted around the countryside. |  | | Wild times At the Otter Trust in Earsham, you can see wallabies, muntjac deer and the world's largest collection of otters. The trust is situated on the banks of the beautiful River Waveney and in natural enclosures the British otter is bred for reintroduction into the wild.
The Dinosaur Adventure Park is set in 100 acres of woods and parkland just outside Norwich. Young explorers can discover lifesize dinosaurs, make friends in the Secret Animal Garden, climb, slide and swing in the adventure play areas and discover the Lost World A-mazing Adventure.
The Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden is set in 180 acres of beautiful ancient woodland, water gardens and a private broad at South Walsham in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. It is a wonderful place to walk, spot wildlife and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Norfolk countryside.
|  | A great day out At Wroxham Barns in Hoveton you can while away an afternoon enjoying some of the finest craft workshops and galleries in Norfolk. You will also find speciality foods, home-made sweets, gifts and clothes and for the younger visitors their is a Junior Farm and Traditional Fair.
Just outside Aylsham is Blickling Hall, one of Norfolk's finest stately homes. The house dates from the early seventeenth century and is set in stunning gardens and parkland.
At Fritton Lake Countryworld there are lots of things to do, all centred around the beautiful lake and surrounding countryside. Attractions include a falconry centre, heavy horse stables, a childrens' farm, adventure playground, rowing boats, pedaloes and guided boat trips on the lake. |  | Riverside towns and villages Aylsham is a traditional market town in the North of the Broadland region. A twice-weekly market is still held here and there is a weekly auction of fine art, books and antique furniture where you can seek out treasures and bargains.
Walking around Reepham is like stepping back in time. With its pretty market place, bordered by 18th century houses, this charming town has been the setting for a number of period TV productions including Poirot. A market is still held every Wednesday where you can enjoy a leisurely shopping spree before retiring to one of the welcoming town centre pubs for a well deserved pint of beer.
The only remaining car and passenger ferry in the Broads operates in Reedham, taking people across the River Yare. It is the only road crossing between Great Yarmouth and Norwich offering travellers a convenient alternative to the otherwise long drive round. The Reedham Ferry Inn is a great pub to while away a couple of hours watching the world go by and at the Old Brewery youll find a variety of locally designed crafts.
Wroxham is probably the most well known Broadland village. In the summer you will find huge numbers of visitors enjoying the bustling atmosphere and whiling away sunny afternoons by the busy river.
