| Norfolk Bridle and Cycle Routes A pack of 6 Norfolk Bridle and Cycle Routes featuring routes around Brooke/Saxlingham, Hockwold-cum-Wilton, Massingham, Morningthorpe, Reepham and Swaffham is available from the Countryside Access Team at Norfolk County Council. These routes are specially designed for horse riders and vary in length from 10 to 25 miles, but they can easily be lengthened or shortened by use of the map. All the routes are well waymarked and maintained. |  | Peddars Way The Peddars Way, which runs for 63 Miles from just outside Thetford to the North Norfolk coast has separate riding and walking routes. The riding route follows farm tracks and minor roads and follows, or meanders close to, the old Roman road and includes part of the ancient Icknield Way. A leaflet describing the 25 mile section between Roudham Heath and Fincham Drove (near Swaffham) is available in a pack of horseriding routes called "Riding in the Brecks" which is available from the Brecks Countryside Project. | Marriot's Way The Marriott's Way is a 21 mile way-marked route for riders, walkers and cyclists. The route follows the old railway line from Hellesdon near Norwich to Aylsham. | Harling Drove The Harling Drove is a gentle 10 mile ride running through the heart of Thetford Forest from Roudham Health, near East Harling, to the village of Weeting (with a link to the Hockwold bridle route). It includes views of ancient heaths and meres dating back to prehistoric times and was used for taking flocks and herds from Fenland pastures to market at East Harling.
