Great Yarmouth has several museums which provide a real insight into the town's past, including The Old Merchants House and the Tolhouse Museum. A new museum dedicated to telling the town's story opens in 2004.
The Norfolk Nelson Museum opened in 2002 and features displays, paintings and memorabilia relating to the life and times of Horatio Lord Nelson, one of Norfolk's greatest heroes.
