Norfolk Heritage Open Days

Watch our heritage and history film

This year's Heritage Open Days festival runs 10th to 13th September with events celebrating the county's fantastic history and the chance to delve into Norwich and Norfolk's fascinating and sometimes hidden heritage.

With free events - including open buildings, guided tours and walks, heritage literary events, exhibitions and performances - across Norwich, Thetford, south Norfolk, Broadland, Great Yarmouth, north Norfolk and further afield, there will be plenty to see and do across the long heritage weekend.

In total there are an amazing 243 free events across Norwich and Norfolk, including talks, walks, workshops, concerts, family activities and even a vintage fashion show.

This year marks the 21st anniversary nationwide of the Heritage Open Days scheme, and the 11th run in Norwich by Norwich's Heritage Economic and Regeneration Trust (HEART) – so look out for new and exciting events to mark the anniversaries.

The Heritage Open Days events brochure for Norwich and Norfolk is out from Monday 3rd August and available from venues, tourist information centres, libraries, post offices, cafes and shops across Norfolk or download here, where you can also request tickets for many pre-book events.
