Train and cruise in the Broads

The Bure Valley RailwayThe Bure Valley Railway in the beautiful Norfolk Broads.

Begin in the historic market town of Aylsham, taking the 10am train from the Bure Valley Railway and experience the magic of steam through nine miles of Norfolk countryside before arriving at the Broads town of Wroxham at 10.45am.

Take the five minute drive by coach to Broads Tours and board the 11.30am boat to discover the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park with a leisurely hour and a half cruise with guided commentary.

Return at 1pm and spend the afternoon in Wroxham, which has a wide variety of eating establishments and shops, including the famous Roy's Department Store, the world's largest village store! Alternatively take a short drive to Wroxham Barns, a craft and shopping centre with many traditional and contemporary studios and Norfolk gifts as well as a restaurant.

This trip could also start a little later, arriving at Aylsham around 11.30am for a Danish and coffee or a specially-priced 2-course group lunch at the Whistlestop at the Bure Valley Railway. Then take the 12.40pm train to arrive at Wroxham at 1.25pm. The Broads Tours boat trip leaves at 2pm, returning at 4pm to finish the day looking around Wroxham.
