U is for umbrellas
And we don't mean parasols to hide from the sun! No, we mean those contraptions to keep us dry when rain comes in from Wales or Scotland.
Now, first of all, can we just reassure you that Norfolk is the combined sunniest/driest county in the UK… but… there might occasionally be a trifling amount of precipitation and so it's right to cover the bases and tell you that Norfolk's coast is nicely weather-proofed with attractions like these…
Dinosaur Adventure: A great day out any time, but there's also the addition of Dinomite, an indoor attraction with climbing nets, bridge, massive slides and ball pools as well as café.
Pensthorpe Natural Park: In summer 2015 Pensthorpe opened their new Hootz Hall indoor adventure attraction.
Wroxham Barns: In the Junior Farm there's a Hen House, Poultry Pens, Piggery and Pony Stable as well as the Piggy's Play Sty children’s play and party centre. Plenty of stuff for the adults too and the restaurant does groovy local grub.
Sea Life Centre: We have TWO in Norfolk, at Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre and Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary. You can stay dry from the rain as you watch amazing underwater life, from sharks to turtles, while learning lots more about our fishy friends.
Amazona: Whatever the weather cheeky little monkeys can have a ball playing in the new soft play centre Jungle Tumbles. It's Brazilliant!
Stay dry in the confines of a heritage steam railway – there are a few on the coast.
