A perfect place to start your exploration of Norwich has to be the Forum. A stunning piece of architecture and landmark Millennium project for the East of England, this impressive modern building has a unique story of its own. Opened in 2001, it is home to the Millennium Library, BBC Look East, BBC Radio Norfolk, The Curve venue and Fusion - Europe's largest permanent digital screen gallery with FREE public access. It also houses the Norwich Tourist Information Centre (TIC) where you will find all you need to know about the best places to see and possible day excursions. Perhaps stop off in Café Bar Marzano for a coffee, or Pizza Express for a delicious lunch, to plan your route so you don't miss anything!

An integral part of the city for over 900 years, Norwich Cathedral is a spectacular building and leaves a lasting impression on the many people who visit it. Standing at 315ft it has the second tallest spire in England, which can be seen from many points around the city dominating the skyline. Marvel at the stained glass windows, walk around the monastic cloisters and then enjoy some refreshments in the award winning Refectory Restaurant. Visitors are welcome daily, while there are also guided tours available Monday to Saturday.

Step back in time with a visit to Norwich Castle! The result of the Norman invasion, the Castle is now home to some incredible collections including the Boudica Gallery with displays of glimmering Iceni gold and a replica warrior's chariot. Take a guided tour up on to the battlements where you will experience fantastic views across the city and then for the brave venture into the eerie dungeons - not for the faint hearted! The Castle also features regular art exhibitions from sculpture to modern art, as well as regional collections of archaeology, art and natural history, and paintings by the Norwich School of Artists.

These are just some of the many places to visit in Norwich. For those passionate about the past, Strangers' Hall is a magnificent Tudor Hall not to be missed while Dragon Hall dates back 1,000 years!
