The Gallery is housed in part of the historic, restored, longshore fisherman’s shed on West Cliff, Sheringham. The Gallery houses almost 200 colourful, delicate and stunningly realistic sculptures and arrangements of shells from all over the world. This amazing collection was constructed over 50 years ago by Peter Coke, actor and playwright famous for his role as Paul Temple in the radio series.

Owing to limited space a maximum of 12 people are allowed in the gallery at any one time. To arrange a group visit, please telephone 01263 824343.

Opening details

The Gallery is closed during the winter months. During 2012 it will be open from Easter to the end of September, Monday to Saturday from 12 noon to 4 pm, provided volunteer stewards are available.


Free entry

Admission is free, but voluntary contributions are invited to cover the upkeep of the collection and building.
