Norfolk Museum of Straw Works

Norfolk Museum of Straw Works

Details

Housed across a number of small wooden cabins, the Norfolk Museum of Straw Works could possibly be one of the most extensive collections of corn dollies, straw marquetry and straw works in the world!

A labour of love of its octogenarian owner/curator Ella Carstairs, set in the middle of the North Norfolk countryside, The Norfolk Museum of Straw Works is undoubtedly one of the regions most unusual museums.

With hundred of exhibits – from the ancient to the fairly modern - this enchanting little museum is a real treat for anyone interested in traditional customs and practices, arts and crafts, and pagan culture.
